For Convent of the Sacred Heart, a private preK-12 school in New York, NY, 1100 Architect designed a comprehensive renovation that transformed their underused and outdated basement into a 21st-century learning environment. The redesign houses science and technology classrooms, and a STEAM room and makerspace to create a holistic learning center that encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration. The classroom’s open plans ensure they can be flexibly adapted to different uses and learning styles, allowing the school to support emerging curricula.
