The design concept is building the image of the contemporary private residence through the arrangement of courtyards which are based on the space of the local famous private residence called Lu Residence —— “the Folk Forbidden City”. The site is rebuilt by the strongly intervention of the buildings which results the combination of the buildings and landscape and the formation of three-dimensional space structure.

The extraordinary lathy buildings are arranged in order so that the surrounding landscape could infiltrate into the center of the site through the space which inbetween the buildings. These buildings are so introversive with only one side facing the mountains or inner courtyard which forms the enframed scenery of the mountain scene so that the original secondary forest becomes so delicate.

There is a dramatic scene and an experience of vacation which is caused by the exceptive space scale and the arrangement of courtyards in the limited building area in this very hotel which is a gift for the “Chinese Hollywood”.
