The building's facade is modeled using the parametric design method, which combines the rational approach of parametric design with the architect's perceptual intuition. The final proportional form is decided after comparing and studying the size, proportion, and relationship of each component. The competition hall and warm-up hall adopt a beam string structure, in which flexible prestressed cables are introduced based on the traditional rigid structure, and a certain amount of prestress is applied to optimize the structural performance.
This approach conforms to the architectural design intention and ensures that the structure blends perfectly with the architectural form.
The building boasts an elegant and restrained "water curtain" appearance, created by twisting low-reflectivity aluminum plates into a continuous and unified manner. A total of 308 spouts of "water curtain" descend from the sky, seamlessly integrating indoor and outdoor spaces while striking a dynamic balance between the context and the building. This project employs an innovative vertical greening strategy, replacing the traditional horizontal approach. The "green skin" ascending from the base of the building breathes new life into the venue and sets a new standard for eco-friendly sports buildings.
The building corners and the square are softly connected by curved surfaces, extending the dynamic architectural form around the square and seamlessly integrating the building with the site.
